Currently there is an $8,000 tax credit for first time home buyers, including anyone who has not owned a home in the past 3 years. This credit expires on November 30th, but Congress is already debating whether to extend the tax credit. Congress is even considering going to the original proposal - $15,000 for any home buyer. While I am not personally in favor of ANY more spending, if the credit is extended and/or expanded, some people are going to take advantage of it and it might as well be YOU.
